Despacito is a hit song from Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi with Daddy Yankee was released in the year 2017. It was the top streaming music of that time within six month. The single a mix of pop music and reggaeton did not just bring interest in reggaeton but also attracted attention to Latin music more generally. Billboard's Top 100 in 2015 had two tracks that were mostly in the Spanish and in 2016 there were four. In the height of Despacito's success in 2017, 19 songs mainly made in Spanish reached at the very top of 100. It climbed to 41 in 2020. In the wake of Justin Bieber's dual remix Despacito (2017), a number of bilingual remixes Despacito (2017) popular artists soon began collaborating with reggaeton artists, including Drake along with Bad Bunny on MIA (2018) as well as Madonna with Maluma on Medellin (2019). In 2020, several Reggaeton musicians were complaining about the advancing of the genre towards the mainstream. Yet, a young generation, such as Rauw Alejandro was determined to continue the evolution. He incorporated electronic dance styles and others into his music.
