Ariel Tweto, of Native American heritage was born to Jim Tweto in Unalakleet Alaska USA on December 14, 1987. At her birth, she received the name Ariel Eva Tuadraq-Atauchaq Tweto. Alya Tweto is her older sister. They met her parents when her father was working living in Alaska as an elite hockey player attempting to attract interest in the game. Era Alaska, the airline firm they started with his mother's help, was born out of their love for each other. Ariel grew up together with Alya at Nome Census, the state of Alaska. Ariel attended Emerson College in Nome and later graduated from Chapman University's communications program located in Southern California. Ariel started her acting career in her early years as she was featured on the show Wipeout. Ariel gained attention for asking about a telegraph pole which was right in front of her. The interest of the public in the young woman led the producers to contact the Tweto family about doing an actual series about their lives in the Alaskan wilderness. Jim Tweto, her father, is skeptical, but he agrees to allow the camera roll in his office. As a bush pilot he continues to run his own aviation business called Era Alaska. Flying Wild Alaska was a popular show in the Discovery Channel because it showed the struggles that the Tweto family is facing in their business. A lot of Americans appreciate the fact how they are able to be in an environment that reminds them of early Wild West. People who love the Twetos can rejoice in their wins with them and feel their sorrow when they fall. Jim as the pilot in the bush and Ferno in the management of things on the ground ensures that the family of Tweto will never be short of fun. Ariel is a positive character amid all this. Ariel's father, Jim, and mother Ferno are both pilots so it is only natural to Ariel to have an interest to fly from an early age. The 2011 to 2012 season of Flying Alaska follows Ariel's training as a pilot ultimately earning her pilot's license in the month of April 2012. Then, she assumes control of the flying business of her parents after their father's retirement. Alaskans worry about Alaska's high teenager suicide rate that is seven times that of the rest of the country. Ariel's solution to this issue was to co-found a non-profit organization called Popping Bubbles in which she is on the streets of schools and youth events to speak with youngsters about the importance of having an incentive to achieve their goals instead of giving in to depression.
